Do Your Sales Go Down During Summer?

By: John Elder posted in Internet Marketing

Hello good people!

Well, it’s summer again. I’ve been so busy I hadn’t really noticed, but there’s no denying it now, summer is here. I can’t complain…summer in Chicago is totally awesome. But I digress…

One problem that always faces Internet Entrepreneurs every year is a sales decrease during the summer months.

Every year it happens, and it seems to happen to everyone. The sun comes out, the weather turns warm, and people actually log off from the Internet and GO OUTSIDE!

And when your customers all hit the beach, your sales hit the skids.

Don’t worry though, there’s a couple of different things you can do.

The first thing you can do is hold a special summer promotion. Offer a 10% or 20% Summer Sale or something like that.

Contact your past customers or list subscribers and make them a special offer of some sort.

That’s what I usually do, and it can bop your sales levels back up during the dry summer selling spell.

Another thing you can do is play catch up…

Summertime is a great time to create new products or projects, redesign any web sites that need it, catch
up on your business reading or attend a marketing seminar or two.

Right now, for instance, I’m finishing up two new books. Since it usually takes a few months for my publishers to roll the books through the printing press, the summer becomes an ideal time to write.

Of course, there’s one other thing you can do…

…and that’s kick back and take a vacation. If you can’t beat em, join em I always say. Hit the beach and take a break.

In fact, that’s exactly what I’m going to do today.

Running an Internet Business sure is great!

That’s all for today. See you next time!
