Adsense Baby Steps

By: John Elder posted in Adsense

Hello good people!

Well I almost didn’t get todays article written, which means I wouldn’t have got to put the red sticker on my Adsense Motivational Calendar. What can I say, it’s Halloween and I didn’t get home till 5am last night!

Love love love Halloween in Chicago! But here I am, better late than never.

Today I want to talk about something related to motivation. My Adsense method seems pretty intense to most people. The idea of building hundreds or even thousands of Adsense websites is overwhelming to a lot of people and they don’t know where to start…

And then they pretty much just shut down before they even begin.

The trick is to not start out trying to build 100 web sites. Instead just think about building 1.

Where to start?

If you’re just getting started with Adsense, or even with Internet marketing at all, then the best thing to do is just dive in. Don’t even think about it…just start. But start small.

First head over to Hostgator and sign up for their Aluminum Reseller webhosting account for $24.95 a month.

Next write down 10 niche ideas (or even just one!). Don’t even do any research, just brainstorm what comes to mind. Your list might look something like:

Drills
Table Saws
Rollerskates
Coffee Machines
Vacuum Cleaners
Barbie Dolls
Tractors
Guitars
Horseshoes
Billiard Tables

Or whatever you think of. It doesn’t matter at all, just make sure it’s commercial in nature because there are always more advertisers willing to pay to advertise products.

After you’ve got your list of niches, come up with domain names for them. Stick a .info at the end of them and see if they’ve been taken. If so, stick the word pro at the end and see if they’ve already been registered. If so, come up with another word to put at the end like shop or random letters like -ds

For instance your list might get turned into this:

drillspro.info
tablesaws-xl.info
rollerskates.info
coffeemachines-pro.info
vacuumcleaners-now.info
barbiedollwarehouse.info
tractors-shop.info
guitars-online.info
horseshoepro.info
billiardtables-r-us.info

You get the idea. Next head over to Godaddy and register each of those domain names. Hopefully you’ll catch a $.67 .info sale, in which case all ten domains will cost you a total of $6.70. But if not you’ll probably pay $2.17 each for them (or $21.70 total).

At this point you’re out either $31.65 ($6.70 domains + $24.95 first months webhosting) or $46.65 ($21.70 domains + 24.95 first months webhosting). Either way it’s peanuts.

Next build a website for the first domain name on your list. Take all day to do it if you need to. It doesn’t have to look good, just get it done. Then, the next day, build the next website for the next name on your list.

Go through the list, try to build at least one site a day. Pretty soon you’ll get the hang of it and be able to throw up a site in minutes.

Sit back and wait

Next just sit back and wait. You might head over to Google and submit each of your new sites so the indexing process can begin. It might take a week or two before you start to see traffic and income, and it will be just a little traffic and a little income, but it should be enough to give you hope and fire you up to start building more sites.

Then start coming up with other niches and other domain names. If you build one site a day, you’ll have 30 in a month. If you get faster at it, you can easily knock out 3 a day, or close to 100 a month.

Think about it…by just taking a few easy steps you could have 100 sites in a month.

Once you get the hang of things, you can start working on more advanced things like using bots to build thousands of sites…that’s all for later. The important thing is to just get started, start out small, and get the hang of things.

Now…get out there and Start Building!

      Hi James,

Can you be more specific? I mean, you need a basic understanding of building websites or you need to hire someone to do it for you…
