September Adsense Earnings

By: John Elder posted in Adsense Earnings

Hello Good People!

Talk about a roller coaster of a month (read more about it here). This month started out strong and got really strong, right up to the very end of the month when Google rolled out their new Panda 2.5 algorithm update that destroyed all my site rankings…and subsequently, my earnings as well.

Just take a look at the graph in the earnings snapshot pic above. You’ll see it steadily increasing all month, till about the 26th, when it took a massive nose dive!!

I’ll write more about the panda update tomorrow and what it means for my Adsense empire (and yours too). But first, let’s dive right into last months numbers!

The breakdown for Adsense was…

Adsense Stats:
Number Of Websites: 300
Page Views: 121,123
Earnings: $3,268.76

You’ll see that I didn’t add any sites to my portfolio in September. I was planning on launching 600 but I took it easy all month, did some traveling, and well..just got lazy.

Page views was up from 97,000 in August, and I earned about $130 more in earnings from adsense. That would have been much more if the last few days earnings wouldn’t have cratered from the Google update.

The Amazon numbers break down like this…

Amazon.com Affiliate Stats:
Total Sales: $11,494.57
Total Commissions: (at 7%): $804.62
Items Shipped: 265
Items Returned: 8

I did roughly the same in income in September as I did in August from Amazon, which is a little disappointing. Actually, I sold about 50 fewer items in September, the ones I sold just happened to be more expensive, which is why the earnings turned out to be the same as in August.

So this month’s total earnings come to: $4,073.38
or about $136 per day.

Slightly more than last month but nothing to write home about. In October I’m getting back to work and plan on launching several hundred new sites. Onward!
